Dr. Sumeet Sandhu, DDS
Dr. Sumeet Sandhu is passionate about giving people brighter and healthier smiles through the use of innovative techniques. By investing in the latest technology and training, Dr. Sandhu and her team are able to provide patients with the highest level of dental care, from preventative to cosmetic.
Advances in technology and techniques allow for specialized services including same-day cosmetics, Invisalign® and guided dental implants. In addition, CEREC® digital dentistry allows her to provide crowns, veneers and even bridges in one appointment without goopy impressions or temporaries. This innovative method of one-visit cosmetics has earned Dr. Sandhu recognition in several communities.
Along with cutting-edge dental techniques, the office’s preventative measures for both children and adults ensure the continued good health of teeth and gums.
“It’s astonishing how many people suffer emotionally and physically from a poor smile,” Dr. Sandhu says. “We love seeing the impact on one’s entire life after they allow us to give them something to smile about.” In her free time, he enjoys spending time with her family, yoga, and dancing.
Dr. Baljit Dhillon, DDS FAGD
Dr. Baljit Dhillon has been in practice since 2017. He is a firm believer that doctors are expected, if not required, to use the most current, evidence-based information & practices. He takes the time to complete continuing education courses so he can stay at the forefront of modern dentistry. He applies the latest research & advances in dentistry to provide the best dental care to patients.
Dr. Dhillon continues to serve our country as a LCDR Lieutenant Commander in the United States Navy Reserve.
Recently, he earned his Fellowship in the American Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Dhillon is currently the only dentist in the Orinda, Lafayette, or Moraga area to hold this prestigious award.
He is a good listener who takes time to explain different treatment options so patients fully understand. He takes pride in bringing smiles back to his patients. With his experience, skills & passion for dentistry, Dr. Dhillon can provide the best dental care to his patients.
Outside the office, he enjoys spending time with his wife, son, daughter and Bernese Mountain dog. He is also die hard buckeye football fan. He is an active member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry.
The Fellowship designation is one of the most rigorous continuing dental education programs today. A general dentist who is a “Fellow” in the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD) has been recognized by other general dentists as a leader and example to other dentists of the importance of quality continuing dental education to patient care. Dr. Dhillon is currently the only dentist in the Orinda, Lafayette, or Moraga area to hold this prestigious award.
The Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) is a professional association of more than 40,000 general dentists from the United States and Canada. Founded in 1952, the AGD has grown to become the world’s second largest dental association and it is the only association that exclusively represents and lobbies for the needs and interests of general dentists. AGD’s headquarters office is located in Chicago, Ill.
To earn a Fellowship Award, a dentist must earn a minimum of 500 approved continuing dental education credits and pass a comprehensive 400-question examination. The dentist is required to be an AGD member for three continuous years. While attaining Fellowship is a challenge, it allows dentists to remain current with what is new in dentistry, and to incorporate the latest research techniques into their practices.
Fellows of the AGD follow a lifelong pursuit of continuing education to provide the highest quality of dental care to patients. The award symbolizes the professional responsibility of general dentists to remain current in their profession and reminds each member of the dental profession to continue to learn new techniques for their dental practice. This is an award however and should not be confused with post-graduate degrees or certification. Every dentist who applies for the Fellowship Award has their application reviewed by the AGD Council on Dental Education to assure that the high standards of the AGD are met.
When a dentist has achieved the Fellowship Award, patients can be assured that their dentist is dedicated to providing the finest care in general dentistry. To date, more than 6451 members of the AGD have become Fellows. The AGD is proud of all of its members who must take at least 75 hours of continuing dental education every three years, and especially proud of its members who have made the commitment to pursue this award.
Our Dental Hygienist, Aliya was born and raised in Russia where she began her career in dentistry. In 1998, she moved to Lafayette, California and received her Dental Hygiene degree at Chabot College in Hayward. Aliya has also completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene Education from Loma Linda University. Aliya loves working with and caring for our patients. She works hard to deliver quality care in a calm and comfortable environment. Aliya loves to travel and enjoys taking Argentine tango lessons with her husband.
Yesenia, aka Yessie, began her dental career as a Dental Assistant in 2002. In 2005 Yessie began working at this practice. A year later, she became a licensed RDA. Yessie is married and has three children. When not working, she enjoys outdoor activities with her family and loves to travel.
Claudia has been with the team since late 2021 and has been working in the dental field since 2014. You will find her with a smile sitting at the front desk and even helping you keep your teeth clean she is a multitasking superstar. When she isn’t working, she enjoys spending time and traveling with her loved ones either relaxing or finding a new adventure to try out together.
